Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

Are you ready for V-Day? Everything linked below can be shipped in two weeks or can purchase online and pickup in story, just in time for the big day! We usually get the kids each something small. We sometimes exchange and go out for a very rare date night. This year I asked for a house plant, ha! But that’s what I really want for this one spot in our house and it’s so much better than flowers as long as I keep it alive! First up are some ideas for your kiddos, my kids are 5 and 2 so they are age appropieate for them but could work for older too!

For Kids

For the kids, I know they are going to get candy from their school v-day parties, I still get them some small thing of candy or fruit snacks. They don’t receive these things often so it’s special. Then we get them a small item, here you would find some great items!

For Him

These are some of my husband’s favorite items. Any of these items would make a great gift for Valentine’s or anytime.

  • Sunglasses, these are great pair under $100
  • What man doesn’t love a good cooler? We have this one and my husband takes it everywhere. It keeps everything cool for hours.
  • I got this for my husband a few years ago and it has held so well. He travels quite often, it’s definitely gotten lots of use.
  • My husband loves crazy socks, no better time to add some Valentine’s Day socks. He loves this sock brand, they wear and hold up nicely.
  • Great pair of sandals for everyday and at the pool.

For Her

For her, these are 5 of my favorite things. I have all of the items and love them. Any of them would make a great gift for any women in your life!

  • What girl doesn’t love a great natural eyeshadow palette! This is a great palette that I use frequently.
  • Sunglasses for the whole family! Love the oversized fit and matte black finish.
  • Jewelry is always a great option. Love this delicate initial necklace.
  • A silk pillow case is a must for great hair and skin. I have had one for a while now and has made all the difference. Less breakage and helps my curls stay intact.
  • Luxurious lip balm that actually works and is made with organic ingredients, you can’t go wrong!

Please keep in mind that I do not get any “credit” through purchases in any app. If you are able to purchase through your regular browser or the app, that is the best way to support me!

H&M Try On

On a whim I decided to stop into H&M today, I don’t know why I don’t shop here more! If you are looking for some cozy warm sweaters, this is the place to go!

Up first is this beautiful army green mock neck sweater. I love all the little details, the chunky knit, perfect mock neck and the wide ribbing at the neck and hem. It is slightly cropped, if  you want it longer size up. It runs true to size and also comes in red and black.

Next up is the turquoise green turtleneck, another shorter/cropped sweater. Again, I love the chunky knit detail. It runs true to size and comes in a blush pink and grey.

This mustard yellow sweater caught my eye, I have never been so drawn to yellow before, but this horizontal stripe detail is so cute. Unfortunately I was unable to find this online, check your local store! I did link a similar one here and here.

This adorable floral dress is perfect for fall. It is black with yellow and ivory detail. Simple swing dress silhouette with an elastic waist, which would be great for thanksgiving! It would look great with a layered with a cardigan or over the knee boots. Runs true to size and comes in two other colors/prints, mustard floral and a black small leaf.

This is the best turtleneck, the fit is just perfect. You can wear it with jeans or leggings, plenty of length to cover! It is light weight but still really warm. It comes in several other colors (black, dark grey and dark red). I paired it here with this cable knit beanie.

This rib knit sweater is so cute. I love the dark pink color and ribbing detail. It would look great dressed up or dressed down. Runs true to size but size up if you don’t want it too fitted.

Another great turtleneck, this one is thicker and very warm. The side slits and knit stripe down the center are great little details. It runs true to size.

Love a cute color block sweater. This one has great fall colors, cream, burgundy, beige, dark green and mustard yellow. Unfortunately this color combo is not available online, but here are two other color combos. It is a little itchy but would be fine with a cami on under. Runs true to size, with an oversized fit.

This ribbed turtleneck does not disappoint. I love the over sized fit, it is very warm and cozy. I’m wearing my normal size, but could size down. It comes in this beautiful cream or gray.

Last is this simple v-neck sweater, you can never go wrong with this style. It is thick and cozy with ribbing detail. It is slightly cropped so size accordingly, I am wearing my normal size. It also comes in a pretty light beige color.

Happy Shopping!! Please reach out to me if you have any questions!

Fall Favorites

Fall is my absolute favorite season, the crisp air, changing colors and bonfires! It is also my favorite season to style a look. There are so many different options to dress up or casual down a cozy fall look. What’s your favorite fall accessory? Hats, scarves, vests, jackets, booties, boots… the list goes on!

First, let’s talk about hats. I love the look of hats, they just top off a look! I seem to have a hard time finding hats that fit. It’s a lot of trial and error. I love this adorable Felt Hat that I found for under $30!

Second, layering. Jackets, sweaters or poncho not only help keep you warm in the cool months but can help elevate your wardrobe. Taking your summer dresses, tee or tanks into fall. I am currently loving the Plaid Boyfriend Blazer.

Third, scarves are great way to add warmth with some dimension. I like to pair scarves with simple looks such as a plain dress, or a monotone outfit. I have found some Beautiful Scarves to add to any look.

Finally, boots. I love a good comfy pair of boots. I struggled for a long time to find Over the Knee Boots that would fit my calves (they must be bigger than average). I found these boots last year that work perfectly. They are such a beautiful boot in person, so much detail and great quality. They are currently on sale!

Happy Fall!!

Family Photo Styling

It’s that time of year, time to get those photos taking for your holiday cards! I love taking family photos in the fall, it provides such a beautiful setting. One of the hardest parts is deciding what the whole family  should wear. Well, I am here to help take that stress away! I will be providing some sample outfit stylings and color schemes for your family at the end of the post!

One of the first pieces I choose is for myself or my daughter, I like to have one item with a pattern. I also think about what colors would look nice in our home, so that when you have them on display they coordinate with your decor. For last years photos I wanted blush in the color scheme, I already had a blush cardigan and wanted a dress to wear with it. I found a floral dress that matched beautifully.

Next I pick which colors I want to play off of from the patterned item. In last years photos I choose the green and blush with a mix of neutrals. I was able to find the blush bloomers for my daughter and a green sweater for my son. I didn’t want my husband to wear a full on green shirt so I choose a green v-neck tee, layered it will a chambray button up  and a grey cardigan. I love the way it turned out and the colors match in our home perfectly!
